Scripts, recordings and preferences

The app stores your scripts, reading settings and recording metadata locally on your device. When iCloud is available, scripts synchronize through your private CloudKit database. Videos, LUTs and settings are stored in your iCloud Drive container. These files use your Apple account’s storage. We do not operate a server that receives your scripts or recordings, and there is no public content feed.

Camera, microphone and speech

Camera and microphone access are used to record video and audio and show the preview and microphone levels. Speech following requires on-device recognition. If a compatible local recognition model is unavailable, the app does not fall back to a developer-operated or third-party cloud recognition service. The writing assistant uses Apple’s local Foundation Models on compatible devices. Apple’s system Writing Tools are governed by your system settings and Apple’s privacy practices.

Purchases and sharing

Apple processes Pro purchases through StoreKit. The app verifies purchase entitlements, including restoration and revocation. We do not receive your payment card details. Recorded videos are automatically copied to Photos with your add-only permission. This permission does not let DuoPrompter read your existing photo library. Recovery copies remain inside the app if saving fails. Exporting scripts or sharing files happens when you choose those actions. The destination you select may have its own privacy practices.

No advertising or tracking SDKs

DuoPrompter does not include advertising, tracking SDKs or third-party analytics. An app-local random device identifier distinguishes iCloud library snapshots. It is not used for advertising or cross-app tracking.

Managing your data

You can delete scripts from the library. Script deletion is synchronized with a deletion marker so another device does not restore it. Videos remain until their stored files are removed; the current gallery does not include video deletion. Manage iCloud copies through Apple’s storage tools. Removing the app removes its local copy but does not automatically erase all synchronized iCloud copies. Export or share files you wish to keep before removing local data.

This website and support

The website has no advertising, analytics scripts, forms or account system. The interactive demo runs in your browser and does not request your camera or microphone. Our hosting provider and Cloudflare may process standard connection information such as IP address, request time, requested URL and security logs to deliver and protect the site. We do not use that information for advertising. If you email support, your email address and the message you send are used to respond and investigate your request; do not include sensitive content unnecessarily.

Changes and requests

We may update this policy when app behavior or service providers change. Updates will appear here with a revised date. For privacy questions, access or deletion requests relating to support correspondence, email [email protected]. Your app and iCloud content remains under your own Apple account.
